DIY - How to Use Lace to Make a Party Hat Crown

At your next party, honor your guests by crowning them royalty. Or if you know some little girls who like to play princess, make them tiara to parade around in.

INTRODUCTION

Make a lace crown for your guest of honor or for each guest at your party. Everyone feels prettier in a crown.

STEP 1

Apply Fabric Stiffener

Cover the lace in fabric stiffener and let it dry. Depending on how much you put on, it could take a few hours or overnight. We laid ours in the sun, which helped the process along. Lay wax paper underneath to protect to work surface and make for easy clean up.

STEP 2

Hot Glue Edge

Apply a line of hot glue along the edge of the premeasured piece of lace and quickly attach it before it hardens.

STEP 3

Spray Paint Crown

Spray paint the crown any color you would like. We went with classic gold. Anytime you spray paint, you want to make sure to do it outside.
